Studying physical chemistry
Physical chemistry is, because of its proximity to physics, the most interdisciplinary core subject in the study of chemistry. The nature of the subject provides opportunities for the transfer of knowledge in research methods as well as theoretical concepts. The curriculum offers an intensive practical and theoretical training in the latest concepts, methods and applications of physical and theoretical chemistry. Physical chemistry is not only a core subject in chemistry but is also a mandatory part of the degree courses Biology, Pharmacy, Molecular Medicine and Microsystems Engineering.
The bachelor and master degree courses are in German.
However there are some optional course units in the master degree in English.
A PhD in our institute can be in either German or English.
